    An Heirloom
Crafted from catalpa wood, this table honors the history of our house and region. Designed to last and adapt, it serves as both a community gathering place and a surface for displaying artwork—an intentional alternative to traditional white pedestals that don’t fit our space.

    A Portal
In observance of how we might move through spaces and how spaces might move through themselves. Door is a special encounter courtesy of Travis Morehead that is a permanent installation at SHED Projects.

    A Record
An exploration of the layered histories and fragile existence of place and object, as metaphors for life, reflections on time, and meditations on creation, destruction, and loss.

    The Garden
As part of our ongoing care for the land, sorghum (broomcorn) was planted, grown, and harvested on-site as an act of urban gardening and material research. This contributed to the ongoing revitalization of the property, treating the grounds as a living, active sculpture where land, labor, and contemporary art continuously shape one another.

We would like to thank and acknowledge Eli Gfell, Noah Gfell, Max Hamilton, William Letty and Seth Robinson for their extraordinary craftsmanship, care, and expertise in helping preserve and restore this historic property. Their thoughtful work has not only honored the spirit of the original structure, but also made it possible for us to gather, create, and imagine new futures within these walls. We are endlessly grateful for your vision and dedication.
