Pocket
Sept. 27–Nov. 8, 2025
Treating the house as both subject and collaborator, Morehead continued SHED’s commitment to deeply experimental, site-responsive work. Pocket subtly reimagined the structure as a resonant body, drawing out new vibrations between architecture, movement, and sound. What emerged was a generative threshold space—a pocket carved out for memory, attention, and the quiet architectures we carry within ourselves.
Pocket unfolded as a fully immersive installation and a mapping of memory. Spanning the entire grounds of SHED—from fence posts to neighboring buildings—the work created a delicate intersection of architecture and sound. Morehead transformed the 1867 landmark home into a musical instrument, tuning the site to its own histories and teaching us how to listen, and how to truly hear.
