Dis/Tributaries is a hybrid written piece that incorporates forms such as prose poetry and a short play. The piece is a result of a digital exchange between Renata Cruz Lara and Harriet Matzdorf which began in 2019. Dis/Tributaries explores the transformation of landscapes through natural phenomena, human and ecological. The piece conceptually takes the form of an island, considering lands of divisions shaped by tributaries. The iteration for Survey 25 is to provide our own inflection and survey of the spatial configuration of Dis/Tributaries.
