Edition of 50

Created on the occasion of Jon Gott’s solo exhibition Foreign Correspondent at Sibyl Gallery in New Orleans (May 2024), Sehnsucht is an experimental exhibition publication produced in collaboration with designer and bookmaker Erik Kiesewetter (Constance) and curator Gabrielle Banzhaf (SHED Projects).

Designed to evoke the feeling of an obscure atlas or field guide, the book weaves together Gott’s notes, poetry, and a blend of made and found imagery. Each copy serves as a physical souvenir—a tactile extension of the exhibition itself.

The publication features original writing by Katherine Ainsley, Jon Gott, Gabrielle Banzhaf, and Evelyn Jordan.

Hand-bound and printed in a limited edition of 50. Once sold out, it will not be reprinted.
