Brit Krohmer (b. 1990 Rockford, IL)

Brit Krohmer is a Milwaukee-based artist and educator. Using her body as a vessel of recollection, she reimagines fragments to memorialize labor and the stories of her community. Whether painting cars or salvaging and repurposing objects, the hands-on connection grounds and drives her work. Her ceramics, though fragile, evoke the metal remnants found in her grandfather’s barn—faded objects whose purposes have become distant memories.
