Semana Santa con Familia Linares was a six-week cultural celebration featuring hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and a curated exhibition by Gabrielle Banzhaf featuring work by the multigenerational Familia Linares alongside select Cleveland artists. Funded by the Ohio Arts Council, Neighbor Up Action Grant, and The Satellite Fund-which is administered by SPACES and supported by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Regional Regranting Program-this program brings together art, tradition, and community engagement, bridging connections between Cleveland and Mexico City.

Pedro Linares: Artesano Cartonero (1975)
Directed by Judith Bronowski, this short documentary offers an intimate portrait of Pedro Linares, the legendary Mexican artist credited with popularizing the art of Cartonería and creating the fantastical alebrijes. The film captures his creative process, family workshop, and the cultural traditions—like the Quema de Judas—that shaped his legacy.
